Valley of Dry Bones

Image
There once was a valley, silent, vast, lifeless. Bones everywhere. Not a breath, not a heartbeat. Just the echo of what used to be. Then God asked a question that cut through the silence, “Son of man, can these bones live?” (Ezekiel 37:3) Ezekiel must have looked around, at the skulls, the dust, the hopelessness, and whispered, “Lord, only You know.” Then God said something incredible: “Prophesy to these bones.” Speak My Word over what looks dead. Declare life over what seems gone. And as he spoke, the ground began to shake. Bones rattled and found each other. Flesh grew, breath returned, and an army rose where death once ruled. That’s what happens when the Word of God meets a dead life. Many people today are walking valleys, alive but empty. They smile on the outside but are lifeless inside. Their dreams are dry, their hearts cold, their faith gone. But when the Word of God hits those bones, things shift. Chains break. Hearts beat again. Hope rises. The Word revives. The ...

The Fire Must Not Go Out

Image
There was once a man who owned a small fireplace in the middle of a cold mountain village. Every night, he would sit before it, watching the flames dance and the warmth fill his home. But one night, tired from a long day, he thought, “I’ll tend to it tomorrow.” He went to bed. By morning, the fire was gone. The ashes were cold. The warmth had vanished, and the chill crept in like a thief. That’s how it happens with many believers. The fire doesn’t die all at once, it fades when prayer fades. It grows dim when the Word of God gathers dust. It weakens when we choose comfort over communion. Leviticus 6:13 says, “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.” That wasn’t a suggestion, it was a command. Because when the fire dies, faith grows cold. When prayer stops, passion leaks out. When worship becomes routine, the altar turns to stone. And yet, here’s the suspense, the enemy doesn’t need to destroy your fire. He only needs you to stop feeding it. That’s w...

The Voice in the Wilderness

Image
In  a dry and forgotten land, a lone voice echoes. It’s not loud enough to please the crowd. It’s not sweet enough to trend. But it carries truth, raw, ancient, and urgent. “The King is coming,” the voice cries. “Prepare the way of the Lord.” And just like in the days of John the Baptist, the world laughs. Some scroll past. Some mock. Some simply don’t care. Yet the voice keeps crying. Because it knows what’s coming. It knows that every prophecy written is aligning like stars in a dark sky. It knows that mercy still speaks, but not forever. You see, even now, God has raised modern-day voices in the wilderness. Men and women who preach righteousness while the world preaches tolerance. People who stand for truth when lies are more comfortable. They’re not perfect, but they’re faithful. And still, the world refuses to listen. It’s easier to dance to noise than bow to truth. Easier to chase pleasure than pursue repentance. Easier to believe that time will always wait. But one day soon,...

The Remnant

Image
Once, there was a battlefield covered in smoke and silence. The enemy had struck hard. What was once an army of thousands now lay scattered, some wounded, some weary, most gone. Only a few still stood, trembling but unbroken. And heaven watched. In that moment, God whispered, “These few, these are My remnant.” Today, the body of Christ feels much the same. Churches are full, but conviction is rare. The crowd is loud, but true worship is quiet. Many wear the name “Christian,” yet only a few walk the narrow path when no one is watching. We chase comfort, not the cross. We post Scripture, but not sacrifice. We sing of surrender while clinging to sin. And still, in the shadows of compromise, God is looking, not for the famous, not for the flawless, but for the faithful few. The remnant. They are the ones who still burn when others grow cold. The ones who still weep for souls while the world laughs at sin. The ones who refuse to bow when truth is mocked. They may be few, but those few carry...

Ichabod – The Glory Has Departed

Image
There was once a grand church in the center of town. Years ago, the building shook with revival, altars wet with tears, voices lifted in unashamed worship, lives transformed in the fire of God’s presence. People traveled from far to see what God was doing there. But if you walked in today, you’d hardly recognize it. The chairs are polished, the lights are bright, the choir still sings. Yet something is missing. There is no fire. No urgency. The people clap to the rhythm, but their hearts are far away. The preacher’s voice is loud, but the heavens feel silent. It’s Ichabod all over again “The glory has departed from Israel” (1 Samuel 4:21). Friends, this is the danger of living on past glory. Many Christians still talk about what God used to do , about the faith they used to have , about the closeness they once felt. They’re in church, but the presence is gone. They’ve traded the living God for empty religion. One day, the people who are content with Ichabod will stand before God and ...

In Church but Not in Touch

Image
There was a man who never missed a Sunday. He sat in the same chair, Bible in hand, lips moving with every hymn. To the outside eye, he looked faithful. But on Monday morning, his temper ruled his home. On Tuesday, his dealings at work were dishonest. By Friday night, he laughed at the very sins he prayed against. He was in church, but not in touch. Jesus once said, “These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me” (Matthew 15:8). It’s possible to warm a chair and yet have a cold heart. To carry a Bible and yet not carry Christ within. And isn’t that what we see today? Crowds gather on Sunday, hands raised high, but by Monday, those same hands are busy with gossip, greed, bitterness, or compromise. The building is full, but the Spirit is grieved. The songs are loud, but the heart is silent. Here’s the biggest part, when the trumpet sounds, when Christ returns, He won’t be looking for church attendance. He’ll be looking for surrendered hearts. Hearts that know H...

The Watchmen Are Blind

Image
There was a village once, surrounded by high walls. On those walls stood watchmen, holding torches through the night. Their job was simple: if danger came, they would sound the alarm. The people slept in peace because they trusted the watchmen to stay awake. But one night, something strange happened. Shadows crept toward the gates, wolves in the dark. The watchmen saw them. They whispered among themselves, but not one lifted his horn to warn the people. Some were too tired. Some thought, It’s not my business. Others feared being unpopular if they shouted too loudly. So the wolves entered silently… and the sheep were torn apart in their sleep. Brothers and sisters, this is where we are today. The walls are high, but the watchmen are blind. Many who were called to defend the faith now stay silent while corruption grows, while lies are preached as truth, while sin parades boldly through the streets. Some churches are louder about money than about holiness. Some leaders protect their im...

I WILL RISE LIKE THE OTHER TIMES

Image
There is always a day of complete strength, a day you feel fully charged and ready to take on anything, a day when you can literally feel the lion in you is ready to be unleashed, when praying for hours was not a problem, marathon fast is a hobby, you can preach from street to street without getting tired, even in church we know how devoted you are. However, it's been ages since we see you do all these. Then, something is wrong!  The body of Christ is suffering because you are no longer servicing your secret place. Issues of life have completely overwhelmed you and now things you use to do before are gradually becoming a story.  Nobody to reach out again, we are scared of what the people will say, how they will call you a spiritual brother, you are mindful of how silly they will think you are, the friends that will leave you. No wonder, many believers are hiding in the cave and can no longer operate as of the days of old. Oh, no wonder, Samson that was specifically anointed to...

GOD COMES LATE WHEN HE WANTS TO COME BIG.

Image
Child of God, stop envying people, don't try to be anybody because God has a plan for your life. If you arrive suddenly, you will depart suddenly because it takes time, don't rise or shine in your own time but rise and shine in God's own time. Only grave diggers starts from the top, wait for the time God has destined for you to shine. The greatest mistake you can make is to decide to rise in your own time, because success outside  God does not last, so the best you can do is to wait and follow God's time  Don't mount pressure on yourself because you want to ride today what you should ride tomorrow. If you ride today what God I up in expect you to ride  in 10 years time, let me tell you that you will crumble in 10 years time because there will be no future waiting for you. Don't compromise your Christianity because God has a way, he comes late when he wants to come big.  Time is the language for building, it gives the opportunity to build yourself and your capaci...

Love not the world

Image
The way of the Kingdom man is such that the driving force for all you do on Earth can be traced to your love for Jesus. We have been warned, adviced and admonished about our sense of livelihood and lifestyle in the kingdom. It's either you are in God's Kingdom or you're in the world. There's no two ways about it. You may go as far as confusing and convincing even your pastor to believe that you're a Believer, but one thing is certain, God is not a man. You cannot cheat God. You cannot decieve God. God cannot be mocked. It is the person you are in the closet that God will amplify in the public.  The only way to know one who doesn't love God is if He/She loves the world. You cannot love God and Love the world at the same time. God wants to dominate your whole being even by His Spirit while the World also want to dominate you through Lust! A day is coming, A day of Reward. A day of Judgement. Your appearance will not be judged, you'll only be judged by the reco...

A yoke is something placed around the neck of an animal to control and restrict its movement. There are many people walking around with heavy yokes placed on their necks by the devil.  Today any yoke that the devil has placed on you will be broken in Jesus’ name. The concluding part of Isaiah 10:27 says “…and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Since anointing can be passed through radiation, today, by the special grace of God, anointing is going to be passing from this devotional to you and that anointing will break every yoke in your life in Jesus’ name. Several years ago, a song was recorded about a notorious robber called Anikura in Lagos. Anikura ensured that after people had made profits from their sales in the market, such gains didn’t make it home with them. This is the case of some people today; they work hard and make money, but somehow, the money disappears from their hands and they cannot point to one beneficial thing they used it for. I decree...

What you need to know as a young minister

Image
I'll share a story about my early days in Ministry. I have been a good teacher for long. In 1994, I was already teaching, people fall under anointing in my meetings. But I was hidden. I have grown in the teaching anointing to some level now, I'm beginning to mature in it. People said that I overstayed in the wilderness.  It is better to stay longer and allow God move you than to take off like a tornado, not mastering how to handle the opposite sex, how to handle money, how to handle fame, or how to coordinate yourself in front of a president and bring prophetic word to him, you don't know when to go or not. Stay low and make your mistakes. It is God that will announce you at the appointed time. Minister Theophilus Sunday noticed the ministrel grace in his life in the year 2006. And some of you just heard of him like 2 years ago. He has been ministering to God for 16 years now. Anointing is grown through process, through obedience, through alignment. It takes great effort ...

Can married couple watch pornography together?

Image
Can a married Couple watch pornography together?  Can a married Couple watch pornography together? The simple answer to that would be YES! But the next question I would ask is '' Are those married couples Christians? If they are Christians, then we would ask '' Should a Christian married couples watch pornography together? '' then the answer would be NO! Whether together or not together, a Christian should not watch pornography because of the sayings of our Lord, Jesus in the book of Matthew 5: 28 Jesus said if we look at a woman to lust after her, we have already committed adultery with her in our heart. You see, that's a relationship between what you see, what you think and what you manifest. In the book of Proverbs 4:23, the Bible says ''Guard your Heart with all diligence, for out of it proceeds the issues of life''  Marriage is a very sacred union between a male and a female becoming ONE in the sight of God, that's why they can pro...

The big story behind my ministry

Image
My Prayer adventure began with the illness of my Dad. The illness lasted for like Eleven Years before he died. The way he died was somewhat a sign that we did not know God enough. So I began this Spiritual adventure, to know God,  with the hope that I could stop some of those occurrences repeat themselves in the lives of people. I began to exercise myself in NIGHT PRAYERS. I never knew Jesus was waiting for me to take the First Step. And he opened up a great field of Spiritual Reality on the strength of that initial attempt to seek his face. I was born a Stammerer, so there was no inclination that I could even become a Preacher. And my Stammering was so bad and there was nothing like Preaching in view. But, one of those times, I had an Encounter with Jesus and a company of few Angels and my Speech impediment was taken away. There was a very Significant Minister in our City who was shaking the whole Place, so many people were getting saved. And he died after a major Event. An...

NEVER FORCE YOURSELF INTO PROPHETIC MINISTRY

Image
Many of us have forced ourselves into the prophetic office, we force ourselves into something we are not called to do and we are forcefully trying to be it, that is not how it works, because there is something you will receive from heaven that makes you it and that is why the Bible said that we are able ministers, not disabled, but you will be disabled if you have not been commissioned. Please stay where God has placed you untill he increases the intensity and momentum that flows from your belly. Part of my apostolic capacity is in the ability to ground and be established as a teacher and if I come to a place of worship, I will definitely know what is lacking in their doctrine, am not boosting, rather am just telling you the ability I have from the holy spirit, the church life of people that listens to my message, their church expression has changed because it is what am called to do and I didn't made myself like this, it is the anointing of God upon my life that made me so. Many...

THE DAY MY DAUGHTER SAID SHE WILL MARRY ME.

Image
THE DAY MY DAUGHTER SAID SHE WILL MARRY ME ~Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr. Some years ago when my daughter was quiet young, she looked at her mother one day and said to her Mummy, I'm going to marry Daddy, mummy said no, why are you saying so?  She said i like the way Daddy TREAT you and i want to have that kind of experience and then she said Daddy is already married to mummy, GOD WILL GIVE YOU YOUR OWN LIKE DADDY.  IMAGINE IF THE STORY WAS DIFFERENT!  The child will say, me i don't want to go near any man, i see how Daddy has been MISTREATING Mummy. That child at that time am not sure she was up to FIVE BUT SHE WAS SEEING WHAT NO ONE WAS SEEING.  PLEASE READ THIS AND READ IT VERY WELL; THERE IS MORE THAT IS COMMUNICATED BY ACTION THAN YOU COMMUNICATE BY SPEAKING. MAY YOU BE RELEVANT TO YOUR CHILDREN AND MAY YOUR CHILDREN BE RELEVANT IN THEIR GENERATION IN JESUS NAME.  Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr

THE MOTIVATED BELIEVER

Image
Personal evangelism is sharing the message of Jesus Christ with others. It is showing and telling  with both word and deed who Jesus is and how it's possible to have a relationship with Him. Think of evangelism in light of life's journeys. Personal evangelism is simply the privilege of entering into the spiritual journey of another person, discovering how God is at work, and the role that we can play. It sounds so simple in theory. Why do so many of us find it hard?  If you are like most motivated believers, you genuinely desire to share your faith, but the very thought of it both excites and terrifies you. Why? The desire to share one’s faith is a natural overflow of one’s relationship with Christ. A person in love rarely stops thinking and talking about the object of their affection. A person who has genuinely experienced Jesus Christ expresses a similar compulsion (Acts 4:20). Sadly, personal evangelism is not just a process of explaining truth until another person u...

THE MISSING LINK-PART 2

Image
The Missing Link-Part 2 Many couples are fond of using Mr A's formula to solve their own marital problems and when it doesn't work out the devil politely suggest to them to work out of that marriage because it's not working. With this, we keep hindering the plan of God for us in our marriage. I can say this with all assurance that Mr A formula for marriage can't solve Mr B marital problems, everyone have to find the missing link and fixed it up.  However, this doesn't mean we have to ignore advice from people but when it comes to applying it you need to look inward if it will serve as the missing link in your marriage. What's this missing link all about? Do I have to start looking for it once I have any issue in my marriage? The answer is NO! God is the all-knowing, he knew that there will be challenges and misunderstandings in marriage so he already provided the solution even before the problem but this is where most people get it wrong, we ignore this soluti...

The Missing Link-Part 1

Image
Imagine bringing in an electrician into your house to help you with the electricity and after several hours of working you tried to put on the light and then boom! It's not working... Or imagine yourself being a computer programmer, you write codes to develop software and website and after a very long hour of writing thousands of codes and several minutes of checking for mistakes just to be sure it's ok, you tried it and it's still not giving you what you want.... Then what's the way out? Run to google or ask other professionals for assistance? Well in marriage this isn't applicable. Since inception, no one as a perfect formula for a successful marriage.  The concept of marriage is unique and mysterious, God Himself instituted it and Him alone has what it takes to solve every marital dilemmas.  However, in our present generation, we can see all around the numerous crisis rocking different families and the big question is where did we or they all get it wrong? Ther...

Jobless Evangelist

Image
Couple of time we come across some set of people who walks to us and ask for a minute with you and you're like do I know you? Some even go to the point of telling you that Jesus loves you (as if you're not aware of that). Some go to the extent of telling you they have a gift for you and you are like wow! What is it and boom they tell you it's Jesus they have for you... Many times as well we tend to see some acrobatics display like holding a banner for hours under the sun, some climbing a pole, acting of drama and many more and you're like why are "these guys so jobless" like seriously... They should be doing something reasonable and not making a fool of themselves around the streets. That's a 'normal' man's thinking right? NO! they are not jobless. As a matter of fact they are representing the biggest brand in heaven and on earth.  The truth is, many of us are also given this same 'employment' but we choose to ignore. Rather, we prefe...
