EGYPT IS NOT AN OPTION

This topic may sound somehow offensive, well, Egypt in this context does not necessarily refer to the Egypt in North Africa, and I am not saying a visit to Egypt is a crime or a sin. Besides, Egypt is known for its great tourist attractions and its regarded as the birth place of civilization. So I think a visit to Egypt will be lovely!

However, the Egypt in this context refers to what I call the place of comfort in the days of confusion. A lot of people often seek for a place of comfort when they are passing through a turbulent situation. This may seem right in the sight of men, but it not always right in the sight of God. I'm not saying God wants us to suffer or pass through hard times all the days of our life, what I'm saying is that no matter what the situation may look like, God still has a plan for us.
We have read severally in the Bible about people who moved to Egypt to seek for refuge. Our father Abraham was there also.
Abraham moved to Egypt because there was a famine in the land, he thought Egypt would be a place of comfort and rest but getting to Egypt, Abraham almost lost his wife to the king of Egypt. Gen 12:10-20.

Many people think that whenever tribulation, confusion, lack and scarcity comes their way, the next step of action is to run to another 'safe' region. This is not so! The truth is no matter the situation that comes our way, God is aware of it and He can not watch us suffer for long.
Our problem as humans is that we are too impatient to ask God concerning the next step of our life, we always think we can fix our life by ourselves and relocating to another place or city is always the best option. My question is, what if there are more dangers in where we are relocating to?

Abraham relocated to Egypt for a   greener pasture and he found out that not all that glitter is gold. His life was at stake, he couldn't move or walk freely, what he came for became a poison to him. If not for Gods intervention, Abraham would have lost Sarah his wife all in the name of greener pasture.

Another look into the case of Isaac, the Bible recorded it that there was another famine in his time besides the one that happened in the days of his father Abraham. Gen 26:1-5

Isaac planned to go down to Egypt for a greener pasture just like his father but God rebuked him and he stayed in Gerar.
Thank God Isaac obeyed the voice of the Lord not to go down to Egypt, if not what would have happened to him?
Many of us have refused the voice and instruction of God for us, we have followed after our heart and that is why our suffering have been multiplied. We have neglected the voice of the one who knows tomorrow, the one who knows the end of everything, the one who is in charge of all situation and we have followed after men's advice, and now our case is still the same.
Jacob relocated his entire family into Egypt and that led to a generational imprisonment because of one man's decision to relocate outside Gods will for him, all his children were sold into slavery. Why will you sell yourself into slavery by being too worried?

That decision you are about to take, is it in accordance to the will of God for your life?
That job you are about to take, is it Gods will for you?
That marriage you are about to enter into, is it Gods choice for you?

Why worry, relax, God is in control.

He knew us even before we were formed and he has a wonderful plan for us so there's no need to be in haste because haste make waste!
Whatever it is that's bothering you or getting you confused about life, tell it to God, He has a better plan for us far above our imaginations.

Relocating down to Egypt may be dangerous for you, let God fix you and He will surely locate you.

Shalom.
