The Spirit in Man. Part Two


Last time I wrote about how the spirit of God in us enables us to have the mind of God in us. Today I'll be writing on how the spirit of God is formed in us.

HOW THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS FORMED IN US

1. Through His word: "its the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life" John 6:63.
One amazing thing about the word of God in us is that it can create because the word is God Himself. John 1:3.
When the word of God comes to you, it carries the ability to create a new life in us, it can transform, and also create a change in us. That is why once a man encounter Jesus the first thing that happens to you is that your life will change and you will become another man. Therefore, the word of God carries with it the power of life and creation and any man that receive and believe it will possess the spirit of God in him.

2. Through prayer: prayer is understood to be a process of communicating with God. Like I said earlier, that God wants someone He can talk to and share things with. This can only be through prayer, when you pray you make your request known to God, you pour your heart to Him and you also communicate with Him. By this, God form in you His spirit. There is a saying that 'if you walk with men you will he like men, but if you walk with God you will be like God' Jesus started His ministry with prayer and ended it with prayer. Matt 27:46. When you build an intimacy of prayer with God, His Spirit is formed in you.

3. Tarrying in His presence: "And the sight of the Glory of God was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. And Moses went into the midst of the cloud and gat him up into the mount: and moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights" Exo 24:17-18. Moses was a man that has a very cordial relationship with God and he has been so far the only living man to ever gaze at the presence of God physically. This he achieved because of his level of intimacy with God. God has actually deposited His spirit in Moses therefore making Moses another man.

God is not done with making giants out of men, He's still active in it. Why don't you make yourself available for Him! "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:...." Joel 2:28.

This is a prophecy upon us all, God wants to release an outpouring of His Spirit on everybody, so why don't  you release yourself for this great encounter? Remember we are in the midst of prophecy and there's a prophecy upon us all!!!

The Witness Box

A young lady committed a crime and she was sent to court. The punishment for the crime was life imprisonment. She shed tears for help but to no one available for help. When the case was called in court she started weeping. Her family and friends who accompanied her started weeping but there was no hope. But something happened. Before the young lady could stand in the witness box a man stood up and the court room was silent. Everyone looked at Him. He was noble and gentle. He stood in the witness box and interceded on behalf of the woman. The case was difficult, yet He used all His strength, energy and resources to fight on behalf of the woman. After a long legal battle between the man and the accusers, the lady was set free. The lady fell before the man and asked 'WHO ARE YOU' The next day the lady deliberately committed another crime and was sent to the same court. Do you even need Jesus?

Ever wonder why someone you don't know will stop you on the road and tell you sir/ma, Jesus loves you and with a gaze in your eyes you will be like "i know!" or sometimes you say "that is not my business right now" some people will even sit you down and start narrating the bible to you on why you should accept Jesus but deep inside of you, you start asking yourself some questions like do i even need Jesus? I'm doing fine in school, i'm married, blessed with good job and lovely children and everything seem fine and all right.
